Gregory S. Carter

SENIOR ASSOCIATE

Gregory S. Carter is a Senior Associate at the Denver, CO office of León Cosgrove Jiménez, LLP. Mr. Carter’s practice focuses on state and federal litigation and appeals for corporate clients, including financial institutions. These disputes include contractual claims, torts, and real estate disputes. Mr. Carter also represents clients in securities arbitrations pending before FINRA.

Prior to joining León Cosgrove Jiménez, LLP, Mr. Carter served as a judicial law clerk in Denver District Court and at the Colorado Court of Appeals.

In District Court, Mr. Carter drafted orders on motions from every stage of litigation, including motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, and motions on evidentiary issues. He also worked closely with the rules of civil procedure to ensure the timely progression of each case and served as bailiff for more than 10 trials, interacting personally with the jurors each time.

While at the Court of Appeals, Mr. Carter honed his research and writing skills. He reviewed briefs and trial records, researched relevant Colorado case law, and drafted opinions for the judge.
