Ms. Finnegan was a Public Interest Scholar at the University of Miami School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude. During her time at the University of Miami School of Law, she served as a staff editor for the University of Miami Law Review, participated in the University of Miami Investor Rights Clinic, volunteered with the Prisoner Legal Advocacy Network, interned with a judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and worked for a large international law firm.
Ms. Finnegan’s student note, The Cost of Free Speech: Combatting Fake News or Upholding the First Amendment?, was published in Volume 75 of the University of Miami Law Review. She also worked as a judicial intern for the Hon. Robert N. Scola, Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, as a summer associate for a large international firm, and as a senior law clerk for The National Lawyers Guild.
Ms. Finnegan received her undergraduate degree from Boston University, graduating cum laude.
