Kathryn M. Decker is a Partner at the New York, NY office of León Cosgrove Jiménez, LLP, who focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and civil trial matters.
Prior to joining Leon Cosgrove Jimenez, Ms. Decker began her career in private practice as a trial lawyer in 1985 at a prominent boutique medical malpractice and personal injury firm in Newark, New Jersey, where she successfully tried a number of cases to verdict. Having spent 24 years in private practice as an accomplished civil litigator and trial attorney, she has extensive experience across diverse sectors (financial services, contract disputes, consumer and retail, healthcare, manufacturing and industrial).
In addition to practicing at other major firms in New Jersey and New York, Ms. Decker previously practiced at Lowenstein Sandler LLP, where she primarily handled the defense of both corporate and individual clients at the trial level in both state and federal courts. In 2009, she joined JPMorgan Chase, N.A. where she spent 14 years as an Executive Director, Assistant General Counsel, co-managing the Home Lending Litigation Department. In this role, Ms. Decker was responsible for managing all contested foreclosure litigation and other high-risk litigation, with special emphasis on the oversight of trial preparation and trials for the Bank.
